Gouache Painting Series: Replicating Disney Concept Art
May 3 @ 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm PDT

Join us for a fun and creative Gouache Painting Series! In this two-session class, you will have the opportunity to replicate iconic mid-century Disney concept art under the guidance of our experienced Emily Carr University trained instructor, Erin Green. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your painting skills, this class will guide you through the fundamentals of painting, colour mixing, and
composition. This series is free, with all materials provided, and beginners are also welcome!
About Gouache painting:
Throughout the Mid-Century, gouache was the most popular medium used for commercial art and children’s books. Gouache is similar to both watercolour and acrylic paint, but with a satiny matte finish, perfect for creating bold and exciting images. In this two-part series, students will learn how to recreate charming concept art based on images from Disney’s classic animation, Alice in Wonderland.
This is a 2-part series – please request to register only if you can attend both sessions on Saturday May 3 and May 10.
