GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR:

On behalf of City Council and the residents of Richmond, I would like to extend sincere greetings, and welcome you all to the 2024 International Women’s Day Celebration and Fundraising Auction, being held on Saturday, March 2nd, at the Ember Indian Kitchen in Steveston.

Hosted by the Richmond Women’s Resource Centre (RWRC), this is sure to be an exciting and memorable event honouring all of our community’s many wonderful women. We are very appreciative of the invaluable services that the RWRC offers to the Richmond community. As Mayor, I take pride in the remarkable multicultural community within the City of Richmond. I believe that it creates mutual respect and generates understanding of the different perspectives and traditions that make up a diverse cultural heritage.

Please accept my best wishes for a delightful afternoon, and thank you to everyone who worked so diligently to organize this worthwhile event.

 —Malcolm D. Brodie, Mayor

We are excited to invite you to our International Women’s Day Celebration!

Thanks to supporters like you, Richmond Women’s Resource Centre (RWRC) has made a difference in the lives of women and girls in the Richmond community for almost 50 years. This year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) event will be held at the Ember Indian Kitchen in beautiful Steveston. Please join us  for a delicious 3 course lunch, guest speakers, presentations and much more as we celebrate together and look forward to the year ahead.

IWD is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and your support is essential for our ongoing operation. RWRC receives no regular funding and relies entirely on grants, donations and fundraising events like this one to be able to continue to operate.

Be sure to check out our online auction which will run from February 26 to March 15, 2024.

Thank you for helping make our 2024 IWD event a huge success!

If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation to RWRC:
