Another first! It was a beautiful day, so a large group of us travelled together to the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta. Reifel is a non-profit conservation organization (about 50 years old – similar to RWRC!) – dedicated to bird conservation, education and safety – and considered one of the top 10 bird watching locations in all of Canada.

Dani was our excellent guide at Reifel – it was a wonderful opportunity to learn about birds (the Sanctuary is home to over 300 different species!) and to spend time together and in the outdoors. We went to the bird museum and even got to feed the birds (in designated areas, when Dani said it was ok – so fun!).

After returning “home” we were hungry too, so as it was May 1 – the start of Asian Heritage month – we enjoyed a snack of classic Kam Do Bakery pastry bun together. What a nice day!
