Drop In for the Community Harvest Together Basket

We want to begin to offer “drop in” times in the RWRC office, when staff can be available to hear directly from our community about issues meaningful to them. We know how tough economic times are these days and planned our first discussion for this Friday June 14, to focus on high food prices and issues related to potential food insecurity.

We also will have our first Sharing Farm Harvest basket of the season available to gift to our community on Friday.

The feedback and interest to participate, in a very short time, has been significant. Clearly, high food prices and food insecurity are concerns for women in our community. We are holding this “drop in” in our offices, but unfortunately, “space is limited” – because – our office space is limited. We had not anticipated such a large response. We will for sure offer more drop in sessions in future and try to access a larger space, and will have a large @sharingfarm harvest basket available to gift each week, all summer.

Thanks for understanding regarding this week’s space restrictions – there is truly a learning curve in trying new things.

Looking forward to our discussions this Friday. Grateful for our engaged and participatory community of Richmond women.
